When you've studied a lot of blackjack strategy and know how the game works, one of the toughest things to deal with is bad blackjack players. The more you play live blackjack, the more of this you'll see because not everybody else will share your appreciation of blackjack strategy. In fact, many beginning players think the object of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible (rather than beating the dealer's hand).

This being the case, there are plenty of frustrating scenarios that arise during blackjack games. For example, let's say that you have a score of 19 while the dealer's upcard is 7, which puts you in a very good situation to win.

However, a beginning blackjack player sitting at third base makes a terrible play; they hit with a hard 17 and draw a 10. After they bust out, the dealer goes on to draw an 8 and a 6 to get 21 and beat you. Essentially, this player just caused you to lose through their terrible play.

As we've stated plenty of times in the past, you need to realize that these players will help out just as much as they hurt. However, this isn't always comforting enough to good players, and can cause them to go on tilt. So in order to avoid this, here are some other suggestions for dealing with bad blackjack players:

- If you feel yourself getting angry at bad players, leave the table and find a new one, or just walk around the casino for a little bit and come back.

- Sit out a couple of hands and jump back in when you've cooled down.

- If none of this works, leave the casino and go home; it's not worth playing bad blackjack when somebody else is affecting you.
